My crab's burial

Today we buried my hermit crab. I know, he's a small crab and he had a good life. But he was "my crab" and he was special to me. I miss him very much. I used to like to play with him in my shower. We would put them crabs in the floor of the shower and watch them scramble about. Sometimes, I would wake up and find them crawling all over the tank we keep them in.

I was very, very sad when I found out this morning. We had a funeral for him. My family and friends all were sad with me. We put him in a small coffin, and Chad and I made a tiny cross to go over his grave.

We did a New Orleans funeral, where we first had a dirge, when we went to get him and put him in his little coffin. Afterwards, we had a second line, where we celebrated his life and how much we appreciated him, and that he is in heaven now.

My Mum and Dad were sad with me. My dad cries easy and he cried with me.

I know it's okay and I will be okay, but I am still sad right now.

We had to evacuate for Hurricane Gustov. We were very fortunate because we had no damage! We did, however, get a week off school. We evacuated to Florida - Perdido Key. I had a lot of fun with my brother, Logan, and our friends, Andrew, Nicholas and Nolan.
